ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

This classroom-based course is built on a solid foundation of BLS skills. A systematic approach and emphasis on team dynamics is used in our programs. Providers solidify their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest, symptomatic bradycardia, V-tach/V-fib, various forms of shock, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

Prerequisites

Participants must have prior knowledge that will be in the ACLS treatment algorithm such as identify ECG rhythms, pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and have mastered BLS provider skills. Unprepared or inexperienced students may require additional time to complete. It is strongly recommended that students review the ACLS course materials associated within the program and complete the Pre-course Self-Assessment before participation in the training.
